<document><![CDATA[In a joint venture with SINA.com, NCsoft opened an office in Shanghai in January 2003. This site, called Shanghai NC-Sina Information Technology Co., Ltd., currently services Lineage (known as Tian Tang) in China. NC-Sina immediately drew industry attention because it represents the merging of the world's premiere online game company, NCsoft, and the largest online media company in the greater China region, SINA.com. NC-Sina's capital is KRW 6.2 billion (approximately USD 5 million) with NCsoft and SINA.com each controlling a 49% and 51% stake in the company, respectively.
NC-Sina will service Lineage and all other NCsoft online games, including Lineage II. However, NC-Sina plans to do more than provide game services. This group plans to develop a martial arts-themed online game, with China as the target market. NCsoft will assist in the endeavor's success by contributing its proprietary technical resources and global experience.
